Looking at the mirror:
“I have been drawing and painting science fiction and fantasy subjects as long as I can remember, but drawing and painting was only a hobby, something I would do to relax. Most of my efforts had been in academics. After earning advance degrees in Physical Anthropology and Archaeology, I spent six years working out in the field, “excavating.” After experiencing burnout, I took a job at Dark Horse Comic. It brought back my prior creative drive and, after three years, it allowed me to pursue my own painting and illustration projects. And I have been illustrating as a means of making a living ever since. I have worked for a wide range of clients. It has included concept work for small independent films, video games and clothing designers. My work can be found in genre magazines of sci-fi and fantasy, book covers, collectable card games, role playing games, and board games. I have found a nice little niche for myself that satisfies my natural anti-authoritarianism, reclusive instincts and need for adulation… all at once.”
